Awards

Each year a 4-H Awards Banquet is held by the Federation of Taylor County 4-H and UW-Extension Office in October or November to recognize the following award recipients, if members are not present to accept their awards they will be given to them at their club. Information for the banquet can be found in the September/October 4-H Newsletter for the current year.

Please plan to join us for this special event to celebrate the hard work of those involved with the Taylor County 4-H Program! Also please consider nominating Leaders and/or Partners of the Taylor County 4-H Program to be awarded for their dedication to positive youth development.

The Wisconsin 4-H Key Award

  • The Key Award is for special recognition to 4-H members who have shown consistent growth in their 4-H program, who have developed their leadership ability, and who have been helpful members in their club and community.
  • Members in Grades 11 and 12 who have completed at least 3 years of 4-H and 1 year of junior leadership.

Volunteer/Leader of the Year Award

  • If you would like to nominate a club or leader for either or these awards, send in a one page or less description of why your nominated leader or club should be selected to the Taylor County UW-Extension Office.

The Friend of 4-H Award

  • The Friend of 4-H Award is a way for us to honor businesses, organizations, and individuals for thier support of 4-H.
  • Submit a one page or less description of why your niminee is deserving of this award.

The Bernice Brandner Memorial Leadership Award

  • Recognizes leaders that demonstrate the same values and dedication to 4-H as Bernice Brandner did.

  • Due: Second Monday in September

Cloverbud Awards

  • All Cloverbud members (K-2nd grade) will receive a Cloverbud gift award each year.

Project Seals and Pins

  • Members in 3rd grade – one year past high school graduation who complete a record book and turn it in to the UW-Extension Office by the second Monday in September will be elligible to recieve seals or pins for each project they write about.
  • Contact the UW-Extension office at 715-748-3327 to get a record book.
  • Due: Second Monday in September

Graduating Members

  • Graduating (high-school) 4-H members will receive a pin recognizing the number of years they have been in 4-H and a certificate.

4-H Award Trips 

Milestone Leaders

  • Leaders are recognized each year for their dedication to the program. For each milestone year (1st, 5th, 10th, 15th, etc.) that a Leader reaches, they will receive a pin and certificate.
