The Taylor County UW-Extension links citizens of Taylor County with University of Wisconsin resources and research. Educators in 4-H, agriculture, community resources, health and wellness, and youth development serve the county with programming to meet the needs of our residents and communities. We work with individuals and organizations through workshops and one-on-one meetings. We have access to statewide specialists and publications dealing with many topics. We welcome your questions and your input.

The NRCS provides many conservation programs and practices that include:

  • EQIP-A cost-share program that includes many valuable conservation practices
  • Wetland Reserve Program-This program enables producers to re-establish wetlands and wildlife habitat.
  • Conservation Plans-NRCS works with producers to provide conservation plans that are required for all federal programs.
  • Cost share programs for Riparian Buffers and filter strips.
