4-H Discovery Day & 4K Program

This year’s 4-H Discovery Day & 4k 4 4-H will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 starting at 12 pm at Perkinstown Winter Sports Area. This day is for both new and current members and leaders! There will be interactive learning opportunities to explore areas of 4-H that you might be interested in joining, and chances to meet with 4-H youth and adult leaders who organize these clubs, projects and opportunities. We will also have some fun 4-H recreation during an un-timed run/walk 4K 4 4-H – there will be participation prizes for all! Families are invited to bring donations such as school supplies, bikes, food pantry donations, winter coats, books, or sewing machines to be given to local organizations supporting youth. Those interested in this event should REGISTER AT 4-H Discovery Day by Friday, October 6.

Volunteering for this event: 

We will need volunteers, youth and/or adult, to hold stations – it is preferred that they be interactive! Some ideas for stations include but are not limited to: 4-H Projects (general), MASS, YLO, Horse, Dog, Goat, Rabbits, Environmental Education, Poultry, Life Skills, 4-H Trips, Cake Decorating, Food Preservation, Art, STEM, Federation, Leathercraft, Woodworking, Community Service, Dairy, Club Stations..and so much more! Please sign up for your station by no later than Friday, September 15 at  4-H Discovery Day Station Sign Up. This is a GREAT opportunity for you to promote whatever it is that you’re in 4-H for!
