4-H Arts Camp

If you’re in Middle School, grades 6-8, don’t miss 4-H Arts Camp! Where else can you go to one place to learn about music, drama, visual arts, photography, communications, and juggling! You’ll rotate through the different Arts tracks each day, participate in a group Arts experience Saturday evening, and close with a ceremony for parents and families, celebrating the results of your group Arts Camp experiences. You’ll also meet new friends, participate in camp games, and enjoy the great natural setting on the Wisconsin River near Wisconsin Dells. 4-H Arts Camp is sponsored by the University of Wisconsin-Extension and is funded through registrations and a grant from the Wisconsin 4-H Foundation. Badger Dairy Camp

Badger Dairy Camp is an annual camp held in June and is open to youth between the ages of 12 and 18. This camp, held on the beautiful University of Wisconsin Madison campus, provides an excellent opportunity for youth to get hands-on experience learning how to fit and show animals. Youth also learn about the purebred cattle industry and attend workshops including “Roaming Through the Rumen”. Instructors for the camp include dairy industry leaders, graduate students, and UW professors. Each year the camp is open to one hundred youth. Learn more about Badger Dairy Camp.

National 4-H Dairy Conference

Each year 4-H youth who participated in dairy projects are invited down for a conference in conjunction with the World Dairy Expo.  The conference consists of youth learning about production, marketing, processing, and uses of dairy products.  Youth are also able to explore the World Dairy Expo.  Youth must have participated in the dairy project for at least 3 years including the current year.  Youth may also not show or exhibit animals at the World Dairy Expo or participate in the National 4-H Dairy Cattle Judging Contest while at the National 4-H Dairy Conference. Date: End of September Cost: Approximately $300. Learn more about National 4-H Dairy Conference.
