- Why volunteer?
- Volunteers make up the backbone of the 4-H Youth Development program, and without them 4-H would not exist. The Taylor County 4-H only has two paid positions, the 4-H Youth Development Agent and the 4-H Administrative Assistant. These two individuals depend greatly on volunteers to help form clubs, chaperone and hold activities and events, help youth with projects, and keep the 4-H Youth Development program going. Any time and effort from our volunteers is greatly appreciated.

- Chaperones for events such as Summer Camp
- Older youth are needed as responsible camp counselors for Summer Camp
- Lead workshops to share knowledge with youth
- Help plan, conduct, and lead 4-H clubs, activities and events
- Recruit others to help volunteer
- Help promote and support the 4-H Youth Development program
- What do I need to do to become a volunteer?
- Volunteers are asked to attend a volunteer training session as well as complete a background check for the safety of our youth and our volunteers.
