Strong Bones Summer Classes for Women and Men

New this year, the Strong Bones Program will offer summer classes, one in Medford and one in Rib Lake.

Strong Bones is a strength-training program for women and men, with an emphasis on those 40 years of age and older. Previous classes have included participants in their 70s and 80s. In addition to building stronger bones, the program increases strength, flexibility, and balance.

The Medford class will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays at 8:30 a.m. in the Multi-purpose Room at the Fairgrounds, starting on June 5.

The Rib Lake class will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:00 p.m. at the Senior Site, starting on June 6.

The fee is $15.00.

For more information or to obtain a registration form, please contact Peggy Nordgren, Family Living Agent, 715-748-3341, or stop in the UW-Extension office, 925 Donald St, Room 103, in Medford.

Fall classes will be starting in September at these and other locations. Watch for more information.

Program is run by UW-Extension and the Taylor County Health Department.
